Chialing is currently a member of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic and serves on the faculty at Saint Elizabeth School and Zata Charter School in New York City. she also manages a private teaching studio on the Upper West Side.
As an experienced orchestral musician, Chialing has performed with a wide range of ensembles, including the Evansville Symphony, Owensboro Symphony, Columbus Philharmonic, and Carmel Symphony. She has appeared as a substitute with the New Jersey Festival Orchestra and the New World Symphony, and has also performed in the Off-Broadway production The Scarlet Letter.
She has participated in several prestigious music festivals, including the Spoleto Festival, Bowdoin Festival, Texas Music Festival, and Festival Napa Valley.
In addition to her work as a performer and educator, Chialing has served on the panel of the Bronx Council on the Arts.
Chialing holds degrees from The New School and Indiana University.
